As a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), I am dedicated to giving back to the community through impactful initiatives like our recent Power Apps workshop at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) on May 9th, 2024. This workshop was a significant step towards supporting Oman’s digital transformation goals, empowering students with practical skills in low-code software development using Microsoft Power Platform.
Key Highlights of the Workshop:
- Diverse Participation: We had a vibrant group of 8 participants, including 5 males and 3 females. It was particularly inspiring to see the engagement of our female participants, including two students and one dedicated lecturer, highlighting our commitment to inclusivity and diversity in technology education.
- Hands-On Experience: Despite being new to Power Apps, I guided participants through creating three different applications. Together, we built apps using templates, from scratch, and even with the help of Copilot.
- Interactive Learning: The workshop wasn’t just about theory; it was hands-on and interactive. Participants learned how to share and access their apps on mobile devices, gaining practical deployment skills crucial for Oman’s digital future.
- Supporting Oman’s Digital Goals: By equipping students with Power Apps skills, we contribute to Oman’s vision of becoming a leader in digital innovation and technology adoption across various sectors.
Future Collaboration:
As an MCT, I am passionate about collaborating with organizations and groups to further promote technology education and skills development. Whether it’s through workshops, training sessions, or collaborative projects, I am available to partner with organizations looking to empower their teams with Microsoft Power Platform and other cutting-edge technologies.
